The first results of the International photo contest Wiki Loves Monuments, organized for the first time in Uzbekistan by the Uzbek-speaking Wikimedia Group in collaboration with the Russian Wikiguide community with the support of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, have been announced.

For reference: Wiki Loves Monuments (WLM) is an annual international photo contest held in September-October by Wikimedia contributors from various countries. Its goal is to draw attention to historical architectural heritage.

It is worth noting that participants from our country showed great interest in this competition. Within the framework of the photo contest in Uzbekistan, 59 users uploaded 3,950 images to Wikimedia Commons, including photographs of unique architectural heritage sites in the country. Thanks to this, Uzbekistan ranked 14th out of 46 participating countries.
